I have been working at Lanark Community Programs for 25 years. I worked as a summer student running one of the first day camps for special needs in my first summer. I have also spent several years as a speech and language assistant with the language program and then I joined the Family Relief Program. I have enjoyed working with the families and staff at L.C.P. It has been a rewarding experience.

Graduated with a degree in Behavioural Science Technology in 1995. Started with Lanark County Support Services, moved to the Mills and then joined the Lanark Family Relief Program in 2001.

Christine Crampton, Case Worker

I Graduated in 1991 from Algonquin College as a Developmental Services Worker. I worked at Carleton Place Life Skills for nine years. I worked on call at two group homes in Carleton Place. I also have been a Family Relief Worker since I was 16 and continue to take an individual out once a week. I am married and I have two daughters and we live in Carleton Place.

I have been with LCP since summer of 2000.  My first jobs with the Family Relief program were directing summer camps, relief work, and weekend youth group director.  Now I have moved on to new challenges within the Family Relief Program as a caseworker since 2008.  I am part of a wonderful team working together to support our community.

Jan Paul Barr, Case Worker

I have been with Lanark Community Programs for 24 years and come with a background in Behavioural Sciences. I initially started as a summer student running one of the first summer camps in the county. Then worked with the Language program for several years before starting the Therapeutic Riding Program. In 1988, I started with the Behaviour Development Program, and for 17 years was a behaviour consultant for that program. Presently, I am a caseworker and involved with worker recruitment for the Family Relief Program. I have found all my experiences with families and clients to be rewarding. I am married and have three children and live in Almonte.

Shari Southin, Case Worker/ Respite Coordinator

I have worked at a group home for individuals with Autism for three years. I’ve worked in a Nursery School with children with communication and language delays for three years. I spent seven years at the treatment Unit with CAS with adolescent girls. I was a case worker for seven years with Big Brothers and Big Sisters. For four years I was an Instructor Therapist with the Southeast Regional Autism Program. I joined the Family Relief Program last February as a Youth Respite Coordinator.

I am a new Case Worker with the Family Relief Program, joining the team in August/06. I work together with Cynthia Ferrier completing intake and new referrals, as well as casework. In the past I have worked in adult accommodation and day service settings, as well as Adult Protection Services.
