Our beginnings…

Lanark Community Programs offers a family relief program that provides support to families residing in Lanark County with children and adults who have, or could develop, physical or developmental limitations.

Our Mission Statement

The Family Relief Program seeks to build family wellness within communities by providing a spectrum of respite services.  These services will be offered through a holistic approach, striving to be in tune with other service providers.

How are we funded?

The Family Relief  Program is a non-profit organization.  We are partially funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services.  Program participants are charged an administration fee, which is generally covered by one of two ministry programs offering financial support: Special Services at Home (S.S.A.H.) and Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities (A.C.S.D.).

The caseworker helps the individual or family complete the application, and administer these funds for relief and specialized programming on the family’s behalf, if requested.
